I googled my real name earlier today and found either a mirror of this site, or an archive, over at suburbantherapy.com

I am quite disturbed that it had an old post I made in February and below my post it had my full name! I really don't like that. I know I post a public blog, but I have tried to keep my last name private.

It really bothers me that my full name along with my posts are out there for public consumption. Does anyone know if something can be done about this? And how can it be done?
Thank you!

I don't know how to answer your question, but wanted to point out something I noticed on the blogs here. When you click on "post a comment" the window that pops up (where I can write my comments to the blog owner) lists the blog owners name registered on the site. So if you used your real first/last name, it's not completely private. So maybe when we registered our usernames here it's also set up not completely private if your user information contained your first/last name as well. I noticed you didn't have a blog here Salty, so there goes my theory for you on that one though.

I don't have a blog here yet, but I did have to register for the forum. I assumed my name would be kept private. I didn't post my name on a thread, nor did anyone else. I wish I had thought ahead and registered with a fake name. Someone who I really hoped to stay private from has found out my last name, and this is the only place I think she could have got it from.

Here is the link to the website:

Maybe I am just over reacting about this other person finding out... I know our info is probably really easy to find out if someone really wanted to know.
