Problem

Ok here is my problem, when I start the Pari Machine the medicine doesn't come out, I have to play with the top part to get it going, the thing is I can take the top part off and feel the air going threw, so I know that the nebulizer is not blocked or anything, and my husband thanks that its the machine. After playing with the nebulizer for a few min or so then the medicine comes out ok. I don't think it would be the machine cause Ive had it for I don't know 3 or 4 years now I believe and it's still new to me I think. So do any of you guys have any suggestions or has this ever happened to anyone.

P.S. I use to think it was because of my neb being too old but it does it to the newest ones too and they are only maybe a week old.

I hope this makes since
Thanks

I've had that happen and switching to a new neb cup has cleared it up every time. I think maybe the tiny jet hole shrinks eventually. I use PariLC neb cups and microwave them every day. I suppose the compressor could be losing it's pressure and it might still seem to be putting out air when you just point the hose at your hand. Have you checked/replaced the air filter?

I have replaced the air filter at the end of last year, I think, and I looked at the air filter, and it looks a litle dirty, so when I call in for somemore hypertonic saline Ill ask for an airfilter and see if that helps. If it keeps up or what not, I might call my cf pharmacy and see what they might think it is, shoot they might just send me a new one.

I've had that problem when we've used tobi and the neb cup apparently didn't get rinsed out. Sticky stuff plugs up the holes. Liza aka ratatosk

Ok, well I called about my machine and my nurse is going to send me a NeW one yay! Plus I asked her about a portable one for the car and she said to go to radio shack and buy a cord that goes into the cigerette lighter into the car and at the end it has a box to plug the machine in, just in case anyone wanted to know.
