problems with chest vest

has anyone had their vests develop a leak around where the knobs the tubes connect to connect to the vest?

this happened with my vest, i've only had it a month. it started as a small leak and got progressively worse. i called Hill-Rom and they sent out another vest and guess what? it is doing the exact same thing.

the woman said it isn't supposed to leak. could i be doing something wrong? seems like this must be some kind of design flaw, happening to two vests in a row!

what gives?

did u make sure the tubes were pushed tightly into the vest machine and tightly into the connectors in the vest? Do u have the full vest or just the chest vest? I have the full vest and I have never had this problem. Only thing I can suggest is call Hill-Rom again.

mine does this too and it is also my second vest. I suppose we should just keep getting new one's until the cost of them handing out hundreds of vests for free makes them 'wake up and smell the roses' that it's time for a redesign folks. I'll call about mine. Oh and mine's the half vest. The full vest is a waste of my time - useless - I used it for the first 5 years I owned the machine. Shook the shite out of me and I was so discombobulated that I didn't clear as well. I love the half vest.

i am glad to hear i'm not alone here but i'm surprised this hasn't happened to all people.

anon--i am upset that my clinic didn't offer for me to get another brand of vest, only this one. i guess they have a deal with Hill-Rom or something. not sure. i did ask about the newest vest at my clinic and they didn't know much about it and didn't seem to be able to get it. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">
