Pseudomonas and babies

I know that in general, adults won't typically get ill from contact with CF'ers with Pseudomonas. Does anyone know if babies are more vulnerable due to immature immune systems, etc...?

I am an adult with CF and Pseudomonas and I have two new babies in my family. I'm wondering if I need to be more careful around them.

I can't answer this question specifically except that pseudomonas is pretty much everywhere... If the babies have been near sponges or loofas, they're being exposed to it anyway. I might ask someone more qualified to answer this question, or wait for a response from someone who knows better than I do... but I'm pretty sure that it doesn't affect healthy people hardly, if at all.

When there have been babies (including preemies) born in my family, my doctors have known about it and no one has told me to be careful around them because of pseudomonas. Obviously, it's good to keep your hands clean around them (cause of their weaker immune systems), and not to cough on them- but why would you cough on them anyway?

Thanks, both of you.

I actually got an answer from my CF center today. They said I didn't need to worry about Pseudomonas at all around a healthy baby. If I had MRSA or some other things there might be a concern, but I don't have anything else yet.
