question for Winace

I posted this before but I don't think you were able to read it or maybe you were and you just didn't feel compelled to answer. If not that's fine, I was just wondering. Good luck to you.

Hey I was just looking at your website and was wondering if you need to be on oxygen at all. I am currently on oxygen and was just curious if it has been something that you needed. Do you know what the altitude where you are is? I think that could be the difference. Anyway, just curious. Good luck with getting your transplant. It really stinks that there is so much red tape to go through. My prayers are with you.

Other than when very ill, I get okay O2 readings, I guess--ranging from 93-96%. My doc advised me to use it at night, anyway, because an overnight reading said there were times while I sleep where it dips dangerously low. I've been needing it more and more in recent months during the day, tho. Right now, I try to avoid it unless I'm either low with the O2 reading, or short of breath. And I'm having a lot of the latter. I hope it goes away when (if?) I exit the hospital, hopefully soon.

Chapel Hill has an altitude of about 500 feet, IIRC.

Hope that answers your questions. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Thank you for your response. I am at an altitude of about 6000 ft. So it definitely makes a huge difference. My thoughts are with you and hope that you will be able to obtain the money that you need. Good luck with everything.
