Does anyone's voice get hoarse all the time. It seems like my voice is. Its like my voice is normal for a few weeks and then hoarse for a few weeks . Just seems that it does this all the time. I was wondering if anybody else was like that and what do you do to help it get better quicker? I take Advair so I figured that would be part of it plus some other things to contribute it also.

My voice has been hoarse on and off since I started taking TObi and Pulmozyme. I made a post about this not to long ago because I was running into the same thing. .One day it is hoarse the next it was okay very odd..

THis past week my dr sent me to an infectious disease dr because I had a thrush infection that would not go away after getting a course of IVs, he said I had thrush on my vocal cords and gave me sporanox to take.. My voice has cleared up a great deal so if you were just on a course of antibiotics you can look into that..

well it could be Tobi or Pulmyzine (sp?), or i guess Advair. Ive taken all 3 of these, but i've generally heard thats its the Tobi that makes your voice hoarse. Its weird though, i've always had weird voice spazzems, especially like the last 2 years, and im not on anything except advair at the very moment so maybe it is the advair. I think it could be a combination of all three, because I do take Tobi and Pulmozyme. My voice is scratchy right now and I start Tobi back up tomorrow. I think coughing hard does it too. I wouldnt be so conserned if people would stop asking me if Im sick or have a cold or something or they ask me why my voice is hoarse. I was just curious I appreciate your replys. I did have thrush two months ago but the doc gave me antibiotics and that took care of that.

ps. that was me who made this topic. I wasnt logged in when I typed it.

My voice isn't hoarse per say, but I have to clear my throat like 2000 times per day. It's is so annoying, especially the long ones, like, huh, huh, huh, huh, hmmmmmmm. To get the crap out of the way, especially on the phone. I do not think that is very becoming to the other person!
I know that doing all of my treatments and also drinking a lot of water helps me.
