questions about how you were raised

Go Seana,

I agree with you 100%.
I too would like to see Amy answer those questions, and i would greatley answer any questions about CF without reading anything.
I have a toddler with CF, and Amy you have no clue what its like to be a parent of a sick child. I dont' wish that on my worst enemy!

I also think you opinion is void. Before i had my baby might have agreed im some way, but now i see things totally different. I'm sure most mums will agree.

Amy, i think you are just being downright rude and incensitive.
Especially towards mum's, who will do anything in their power to keep their children healthy, even if they have to send them to childcare because that is their only option.

OK I'm not saying this to try and be a b*tch but just something to Seana in regards to Amy's point...

You can answer questions about CF related to facts, of course you can. But you cant answer questions about what its like to have CF, or what its like to live with CF your entire life, or what its like to lose a friend who has exactly what you have.

Hi Tia,
I understand it must be hard for you living with CF, but when you state we as mum's ie (Seana) don't know what its like you are wrong.
For a mother its harder to deal with the fact that her child has a life threatening illness, and its just as hard because we as mothers are the ones that work hard to keep our preciouse chidren healthy and safe.
And i too know someone i used to care for that passed away from Cf 3yrs ago. She was 16 and was friends with my brother.

Oh my gosh please stop now, it was bad enough when it turned into a
daycare debate, can we please skip the who has it worse parent or
CFer debate? Otherwise I'm going to have to call for a violin
and some cheese to go with this thread.
(I never tire of using that)

i made a point of saying i wasnt saying that to be horrible, just to help prove amy's point.

i hate arguments about who has it worse.......and thats not what i was trying to say at all. i think you missed my point.

No, I totally got your point..I was joking. I just think the "Who has it worse' is a huge fool's arguement. There are parts of all of them that really, really suck.

Well, I was always spoiled by my Gamie, but it's a good thing she did. Mom's awesome. I was raised always being told "Yes, you can eat all you want" and then the diebetis kicked in, and then I was told I can't eat crap, the end.

What it boils down to is Amy is passionate about being an advocate for young CFers who (imho) she feels dont have their own voice & must rely on the parents. She is anti day care period! That is a noble gesture, but it is not the only option or necessarily the correct option. As it has been said in other posts. If Amy would just say, "I am against it for this & this reason" & dont add injury to insult by downing the Moms that choose to use daycare, this post wouldnt be going on & on. IN defense of Amy. There is no doubt that daycare harbors germs. Like any place that has kids there will be germs. Much of the CFers health status has to do with environmental, but not all which would explain why some of us had no problems & some did. I personally dont see any wrong or right answer to the daycare issue. There will always be opposing arguements so what it comes down to (like anything else in parenting & CF care) is, its a personal choice based on your child & family needs! Dont feel bad about it one way or the other because you will always have someone with another opinion!
