questions about sterilizing nebs

Should I be sterilizing the nebs? Our CF team said its not necessary but after reading comments I'm wondering if I should. I have a baby bottle sterilizer that I could use. If using do I take it all apart. Do I use distilled water. How long should I be microwaving it for?

im shocked theyd say that. yes wash after every use stealize after two uses. check instruction manual that came with neb for ways to steralize. we boil ten minutes with tap water. sorry for choppy natureontablet.

Absolutely, I can't believe they would say that either! I usually have two-three sets of neb cups in rotation every day. That way I can give them a good cleaning/sterilizing after each use. I just cant stand the thought of my son using them without cleaning after every use. They are nothing more than an incubator for "bugs" if they are not cleaned. Plus if you are already sick and you cough into one then you are just re breathing the bugs you are trying to get rid of!
