Red Raspberry Leaf tea.....

Hi, Has anyone used this during pregnancy? I read that it can help, see below:

Brewed as a tea or as an infusion, red raspberry leaf is one of the safest and commonly used tonic herbs for women wanting to get pregnant or for women who are already pregnant. Red Raspberry Leaf (Rubus idaeus) tones the uterus, improves contractions and decreases constipation.

If you did use it was there a specific one you recommended? Also do you think it helped??

Thanks,

Yes I drink it occasionally, and you can also take red rasp in capsule form and that is easier for me. When I was TTC, I made a tea on the suggestion of my naturopath doctor that was red rasp, honey, and a bunch of other herbs for the reproductive system (not for pregnancy, just for ttc). I made a huge batch and chilled it and drank it as iced tea several times a day. Who knows if it helped or not.

Be careful with this as from what I have read you should not drink during pregnancy until you are ready to give birth as it can get the uterus and such ready for delivery. I drank it when I was doing ivf and then the last two days I was pregnant. I may be wrong but make sure you read up on it, if there are even some suggestions that it can hasten delivery it mgiht not be a good idea since we are already at increased risk of delivering early.
