Reflux

I am finally relieved that my daughters spitting up is now being treated as Reflux\Gerd....
The truth is it only took, soaking the exam table at the peditrician to prove it! She did an excellent job at two months old of advocating for her own treatment. There is some part of me, finally hitting the denial stage even with everything I have learned from all of you... it is here that I am now trying to convince myself that she doesn't have cf. It is a harsh realization as this diagnosis of reflux came about that it is even more possible that she does have cf, although they didn't find a second gene mutation. It would seem there is still a problem. She has slowed down on the velocity of her weight gain although the ped. says it is still acceptable. I am happy to have treatment for the reflux... I do hope that we will know soon, sweat test this coming week on thursday. ugh I wish she didn't have to go thru so much and so soon, reflux meant more medicine and man I wish I could avoid giving her meds at such a young age..but that isn't poss for the moment.. I suppose with having cf.. they don't ever get to avoid it.. and so not knowing any different makes it perhaps just a little easier to accept. Thanks MLAG
