Regional Sinus Problems?

Wow, boy we (my family and I) are traveling up to Pennsylvania (for 3-4 days) and then Michigan for a few weeks. Since I've been up in Michigan before (and lived there for about 11 years.) I usually don't have a problem adjusting to the weather, but right now we're going through Louisiana, Illinois... those states. Anyway as soon as we hit Oklahoma my sinuses started going nuts on me. I was wondering if anybody in these area's are having problems at the moment. (molds, high pollen content in the air, humidity anything like that) I just want to reassure myself that it's just a regional thing. I really don't want to be coming down with major sinus problems in the middle of a trip.

We must both be signed on and writing right now. HA.I don't know about the areas you're asking about specifically, but I do know that I had got pretty accustomed to the allergens or pollens or whatnot where I used to live. I really didn't have allergies anymore and had little sinus trouble (acclimated over time). But, when we moved at the end of last summer, within a week or so I had a sinus infection raging. I've struggled with my sinuses all winter and spring (which I haven't done in a while) and with allergies. Some days are harder than others. I would just advise getting plenty of rest, water excellent nutrition as much as possible to keep you strong. Also try to keep your sinuses irrigated with lots of saline.

I live in Illinois and have terrible sinus problems. I noticed when I traveled to Florida...they were much better. The weather in Illinois right now is just awful...so I'm sure it didnt help you any. I hope for your sake...it was regional! Good Luck!

Actually it does seem regional, as we were going through Ohio it was nice and I didn't seem to have any problems, but it's getting a bit more stuffy (not to mention humid) in Pennsylvania... Hopefully it'll clear up in a day or so, or whenever I go up to Michigan. I'm just glad that it doesn't seem like it's a me thing.
