I have CF/double lung transplant and have been taking Glutathione(gsh,a tripeptide) and nac(N-acetyl-cysteine) for CF. It has been almost two months now since I have been taking GSH and NAC by mouth and also using it for irrigation for my sinuses. I have been able to reduce the bacteria load to Light growth of psuedomonas by using this treatement. I got rid of Staph and klebsiella. I am a firm believe that GSH is the best treatment for my sinuses and for CF. I am sure in a few more weeks to another month, my psuedomonas will be undetectable. I will need to remain taking gsh(glutathione) forever as if I stop all these bugs can come back.I have noticed other positive changes on my body. I also gained three pounds without trying. If you are interested, check out the UTAH Valley Institute of Cystic Fibrosis which has conducted a studyhttp://members.tripod.com/uvicf/index.htmFeel free to email meRisagans@cs.comGod BlessRisahttp://www.transplantbuddies.org

Risa,I'm glad to see that GSH is working so well for you! I haven't seen any posts lately on the CF2chat board. I'm not sure if you remember Jason from Australia (AKA Gremlin) but he got his triple tx about a month ago and has gone home from the hospital. Just though I would let you knowAndreaMom of Rachel, nearly 5 with CF

Risa uses it for her sinuses, because they are still effected by her CF. I believe that the bacteria she is referring to is in her sinuses, not her lungs. Also it is used for the pancreas as well. Hope this helps.Andrea
