Have you called Invacare? They are very helpful. We are on our second Mobilaire compressor; first one lasted 4 years or so. The back switch stopped working. We had insurance cover the second one by reimbursing us. Their phone # is 800 333 6900. Someone from Invacare even spoke with me at length about what went wrong with the first compressor and wanted to talk to me to know how to improve it. I was so impressed with them. HTH
