I want to announce the passing of my friend, Cath Martinet. 44 years old with CF.

She was just married a few months ago. She was evaluating a lung transplant, but didn't get her lungs in time.

She was a caring, loving and well-natured woman whom I looked up to a great deal.

For those of you who saw my Discovery Channel show, she was the other woman in the show with me.

Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, please.

She will be grately missed.

*gets mad at the world again* She was just married a few months ago? That somehow makes it sadder. I'm sorry, Amy. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

I didn't know her, but we both belonged to a CF mailing list (I don't really post) but it saddened me to hear of it.

Ohhh Amy! I'm so sorry!!!

I can't believe this. I seriously was going to write to you today about Catherine b/c I just received the CF Roundtable newsletter and saw that she was in it. I read her story just today that she was going to get married, had gained a lot of weight, was reconsidering a transplant and had such high spirits with her new love. This just breaks my heart!!!

I'm so sorry. Catherine and her family will be in my heart. Wow.

Oh Amy, I saw the story and how wonderfull you both were. I remember her well. I remember her not wanting the transplant and wanting to save the lungs for someone who would live longer with them.

I was encouraged awhile back when you said she had decided to get on the transplant list. I am so sorry she never got them once she decided to go that route.

My heart and prayers are with you as you grieve for your friend. She was a beautiful soul!

May she rest in peace ~
