Roadblocks in TTC

So as the topic says, we've hit some blocks in ttc. We're on a break from it for a couple months and using bc again. We decided to opt for not planning on having a baby in the winter months. (gettting pregnant now would mean a winter baby)
If we resume in a couple months, even having a baby at the end of winter would be better than the beginning for us.
We tried for 6 months. I track my cycle, use Robitussin, take temps (though not religiously), etc..
My cycle runs about 32 days. I've always had a long cycle. But I used to ovulate around day 15ish. Now I ovulate around day 21-22, giving me only 10-12 days between ovulation and period.
And, I am not getting much eggwhite cm. I used to get a good amount for 2 days or so. Now I average about a squirt of toothpaste sized amount, and only once. Some months, I get none at all.
So something is different in my body than in the past. I know 6 months isn't that long to ttc. my cf health is great. I'm getting pressure from my cf doc to get going on this if I'm going to do it again. She basically said-resume ttc in mid summer, and if you don't get pregnant on your own within a couple cycles we'll intervene.
So I'm not sure what direction to go in. Would you wait it out and try on your own naturally another few cycles...Or should we start looking into whats going on here sooner than later.
We're planning on resuming ttc in July. Of course if I can conceive naturally thats what I want. But if we don't, we're talking this could possibly be delayed 6 months +.
I'm not sure which route to take.
I guess if I got checked out and there was a 'problem'-at least I'll have that information sooner than later.
My daughter is 3. I really didn't want her to be almost 5 when we have our 2nd. (obviously I know how extremely lucky I am to have her in the first place-but you know.)
If anyone has thoughts on my situation please share!

I think i would try for another six months naturally but get checked out in the meantime. That way if there is something wrong you will know right away. It would save you alot of time in the long run. It might just be hormonal. Another thing is can you use a diff form of bc. I ask that because being on the pill now can mess up your cycles and make conceiving take longer when you stop taking it. Is the reason for not wanting a winter baby because of your health during those months? Just curious.

hey, actually we're using condoms. yes, i didn't want to have to deal with that. we only stopped bc in august, and started ttc in sept. (i was using the nuvaring) my obgyn said that normal ovul and cycles should resume right away and ttc should be fine. however, when i conceived my daughter 4 yrs ago, i had stopped bc in may and not ttc'd till sept-when i got preg on the 2nd try.
so maybe its taking my body longer to rid itself of bc.
the world of infertility and infert treatment is very new to me and i don't know much about it.
I am wanting to avoid a winter baby mostly bc of viruses. i pretty much get sick whenever-the time of year doesn't matter much. but, i caught the flu bug while i was pregnant and it was really scary. i wouldn't want to get sick just after giving birth-i think my resistance is much lower after delivery.
also my husband works very long hours in the winter (he does snow removal) so he can be gone for days at a clip. neither him or i want him to be away while i'm about to deliver and caring for a newborn.
i wish we didn't have to halt ttc but i do think its best.

I was on the ring awhile back and it took six months for my cycles to become regular. So maybe you will be the same. So by July maybe it will be back to normal for you. So maybe it will happen naturally after July and you wont have to face infert treatments. I suspect the lack of eggwhite cm is because of the ring. But like i said previously maybe get checked out in the meantime just to be sure. That way all your ducks will be in order when its time. A regular ob/gyn can do the testing for now. No need for a fert dr yet. I suspect its hormonal from the bc. I will keep my finger crossed that its something simple like that. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> my shoulder is here for you anytime!
I understand not wanting to deliver in the winter. My husband and i think the same. I always get sick during those months so even being pregnant in those months arent ideal for me.
