Salt Therapy Chambers?

I was watching The Doctors yesterday morning and they did a segment on salt therapy chambers. I've never heard if these before. Basically you sit in a room covered from floor to ceiling in salt for an hour. The salt chamber they were featuring used salt from the Dead Sea. People were claiming it has helped with allergies and other resperatory problems. I looked it up online and found this article

Has anyone ever tried this or heard of this before? It does seem expensive but I was thinking of asking my doctors about at my next clinic apt.

Sounds great, but wouldn't hypertonic saliene do the same job at a much cheeper cost.
