School Bus

Johnny is now officially a "BUS RIDER"....1st day was Monday...He freaked out that first morning, and Daddy gave him sympathy and drove him to school. (Day after Halloween in our house is like usually a sleep in late day....but not anymore) After preschool my husband and I switched cars...and sat in the parking lot of the school like a bunch of "kidnappers"......Waited for Johnny and his class to come out and board the bus. He did it smiling and happy! Thank Goodness! We then followed behind the bus and met him in the driveway. Yeah!

All these changes are happening so fast....he still my little boy! I know these new experiences are great for him. Thanks every adult living with cf and parent of a cf child for all your great advise. I pack the purell and do allot of praying and Johnny is busy LIVING!

Love the new photo!! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> The bus is a huge milestone. The changes do come so fast, unbelievably fast.

I still remember Emily's first ride home on the bus (also at age 3) so clearly. I was waiting for her out in the yard and I could hear her through the open bus windows yelling MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY I SEE YOU!!! as the bus pulled up and she ran off with such a smile on her face. <img src="i/expressions/heart.gif" border="0">

I hope he is loving school and does well this year. <img src="i/expressions/rose.gif" border="0">

He is so cute on that bus. It is hard but you really want them to live life with no regrets.

Our public school (as all school districts in CT) do for kids age 3-5 in need of special services (speech, ot, pt, dev. delays.) Emily went in on an IEP for dev. & speech delays. Tim went at age 4 as a peer model (a few developmentally typical kids are chosen for each class in some districts) but I had to provide transportation for him.
