There isa rumor that strep "lives" in my daughter's school. My daughter has had strep throat for the 5th time this school year. She does not have CF, but she is in constant close proximity with her brother who is 2 years old who does have CF. Sam has not contracted it, yet, but I think that is due to the steady amount of antibiotics he is already on. I asked the school nurse if they were doing everything they could to keep kids out, and definitely got the brush off. There are procedures in place, but they are satisfied they are good enough. I am not satisfied. I see many kids at school with fevers. How much cleaning do they do?I plan to talk to the administration about it, but I want to educate myself. How can a school minimize the spread of strep throat? I need a checklist.
