The doctor said she'll most likely be diabetic by her late teens...who else has a child with severe pancreatic insufficiency? How old are they? How are they doing? I'm 26 now and still am only 'borderline' diabetic. I can stay within 'normal' blood sugar range as long as I don't get carried away with the white flour and sugar! I'm considering starting insulin now, though, in order to give myself a little more freedom in my diet and some extra pounds. It's a hard decision since it would require strict monitoring of my blood sugar, especially at the beginning when I'm just learning! A lot of people do great with it though!

We were told you can't predict when/who will get diabetes.
