Hello my name is colin evans. I am the other american that went to the cystic fibrosis center israel for treatment. catherine is not joking around. This place is really amazing. I could breathe through my nose after the first treatment and continued to do so for the remainder of the trip. that is something that I can't do at home. I also gained weight and my lung functions showed significant increase on the spirometer tests from when I arrived. It really is time to get the word out about this treatment facility. Despite what you see on the news, The travel and safety is not a problem. I can be reached for questions at bazuzu@msn.com I advise all of you with cf or with family members with cf to look into this seriously.

Thank you,
Colin Evans

Hi Collin, How long has it been since you returned? If it's been a while, how long did/has it lasted? Your feeling good. What typed of treatments did you do, just your normal breathing treatments or did they add something extra? What was a typical day like? I was telling my husband about it and (for once, he's usually really skeptical) he's really interested into looking further into the possiblity of sending our girls in a year or so. Thanks for the info.

Hi Liza, I'm sorry for my prolonged time away. Thankyou also catherine for answering. to answer you liza, the treatments take an hour or so in the morning. percussion, yoga, breathing exercises, The quality of the air in the dead sea area is the major factor. Opening the airways to receive the maximum amount of air and move out the mucus is the overall goal. If you email me with your address I will be glad to mail you some literature. Thanks for waiting for me to respond. Colin

Liza to answer you. I have been back less than a month. the last time I went the beneficial effects lasted about 3-4 months. By that time the heavy pollen count and allergy season was on me and that dragged me back. Lasting effects are of course going to depend on the climate in your area, the constitution of the individual, etc. The weather has been bad since my return and the effects are sticking with me quite well regardless.
