Hi there,

Just wanted to hear any pointers on this topic!! Or names of insurance company you prefer. My husband is looking for new insurance for his employees and himself. He has his office manager calling around today. Very nervous about change. We have had outstanding insurance the last couple years!!

I assume it's cheaper if we look for insurance for the entire company. It's under 20 employees though! Do we still have a chance of finding some reasonable insurance. If all else fails, I assume I should look into the States High Risk Insurance Pool.

Thanks in advance..I feel very overwhelmed with this.

Thanks,

Sarah

I am HR for my company (37 employees) and also mom of a CFer.

We have an Aetna PPO. I have never had any issues getting anything for my son - his vest, meds, equipment, etc... so I HIGHLY recommend them. Not an HMO though - a PPO

The more employees you have, the better group rates you will get. You should do a census to determine rates. The younger your employees are, the better the rates as well.

Hope this helps
