I guess I would assume that flat on their back was not the greatest so we have been haveing him sleep inclined. I tucked his bobby under his sheet so he can't slip under and then nestle his bottom into the little hole and he is somewhat inclined. I remember starting my daughter on her stomach, inclined on the bobby at this age (2months) just didn't know what was the best option for him.

Ben would not sleep on his back. For the first two weeks of his life I had to hold him upright on top of me and sleep in a sitting position. I would let him take naps on his belly. ( I know it's bad but it was the only way he would sleep, I would keep a close eye on him) At night he slept in his carseat carrier. After he started to be able to roll himself over we put him to sleep on his belly. Due to reflux he has a very hard time laying on his back for any amount of extended time. Our general doctor told us to try to prop him on his side. We try but usually he rolls to his belly anyway. Whenever I think he sounds stuffy I have him sleep in his carseat carrier. I can remember when my daughter without CF was a baby the doctor told us if she got stuffy sounding to let her sleep in the carseat carrier to help with drainage.

I don't know what I used to do as a kid but I can tell you that it was very hard for me to sleep on my back before the Tx.

I had a preemie baby and we were not supposed to put him on his stomach either (no CF) but he would not sleep flat on his back and it's hard to get a baby that small to sleep on their side. I had one of those huge wedge pillows and we put that in his crip under his crib sheet and then laid him on his back that way so he was sleeping in an inclined position. He slept that way perfectly for a long time and then didn't even want to do that so by the time he was one, he was sleeping on his belly. He is now 2 1/2 and he still sleeps on his belly.
