Hello everyone.. Since Ashtons surgery he has not ever had consistant stools they have been light yellow and watery.. He is only on ursodiol.. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed a difference after they start there baby on enzymes that there stool gets beeter and more formed looking.. They are telling me that it is ashtons gallbladder but i wouldnt think it would be good for him to have a poopy diaper every time i change him?? Im up for any suggestions

The idea is to get stools more formed, less fat & not so yucky. Sometimes it might take a bit of time for a persons body to adjust, but not extremely long. If things dont seem to be right, he might need a different dosage or maybe even a different type altogether. The color varies depending on what is going in....what goes in one way sometimes comes out a weird way! Except corn....that never changes LOL!

He is not on any enzymes yet?? They said that since he was on predigested formula (Alamintum) that he would not need enzymes.. But like i said his stools are very loose yellow and he has a stool every diaper change which seems like a bit much to me.. Thats why i was wondering if anyone noticed a change in there babies stool after being started on enzymes..

Sorry--- got ya now. Well I wasnt a baby when I started mine, but I was 7 & there was an instant difference. The color, form, smell all much better & no belly aches which was the best part!

Yes trust me we just went through yucky stools. The enzymes make a big difference, just gotta get the right dose. It is so nice to change a "real" poopy diaper and not a sloppy yucky one. I'd check into that if I was you.

DS was on enzymes from day one, even when he was on pregestimil, which was a predigested formula. We started with half a capsule then worked our way up to 1 1/2 to 2 once he got on stronger/increased calorie formula and as he ate more.

And until we got him figured out, he was a poop machine. Not really ever greasy, just frequent and loose. I'd be changing his poopy diaper and poop would shoot out of him. Sometimes I'd go thru three diapers in one try. DS was also on actigal and still is. I'd say it's the enzymes or lack there of..
