Hi everyone

I Was wondering if anyone has any ideas on snacks for my baby. He
seems to have all his meals ok, but i`m trying to fit in some
snacks in between. He only has 2 teeth and his a problem with
texture. Loves to gag then throw up afterwards. I add butter, cream
and cheese to his meals for the extra calories. Any ideas would be
great.
Thanks Donna

My son has always been fond of anything baked: biscuits, scones, dinner rolls, sliced bread, etc. I think when he was that age, we tended to give him various baby biscuits and cookies. He was also fond of eggs. We offered him mashed bits of any fruit/vegetable we had though he ended up being on the picky side and did not eat much of it.

I think when Max was that age he ate a LOT of yogurt. If I couldn't find yo-baby or whole milk yogurt, I'd add some cream to it. He also had gagging texture issues. He loved baby food jarred oatmeal with pears or apples -- it smelled sorta like apple crisp and I'd add a teeny bit of butter to it. I usually would give him baby food fruit for a snack -- bananas, pears, pineapple delight, peaches -- he loves fruit to this day. Liza aka ratatosk

HI, I have 2 children with cf and one without and I loved this little mesh food holder. You can get them at Target and babies r us. It is in the infant department by spoons and sippy cups. It has a handle and you open it and you can put fresh carrots and my kids loved watermelon and fresh fruits and even roast in it. You close the top and they can chew chew chew it is wonderful for teething and safe they can't choke. High fat cookies and other items that they couldn't chew without choking. They run about 2.99. IT can go in the dish washer and is wonderful. You may have heard of this item but is great and can get healthy snacks. Hope this helps
