Soliciting: Come To My Blog!

Hi All,

Just wanted to be visited at my blog. I've never had one before, so this is new and kind of fun to have. http://blogs.cysticfibrosis.com/index.cfm?forumid=9

I've read some strange ideas here about what bad experiences some have had with blogs at other sites. I really hope nobody does anything bad to me after getting to know me a little bit on my blog. I'm a little worried about that, but I'm gonna risking it. Can't believe how many people go through this site! It's amazing. I like it.

This has been my first experience EVER talking to other CFers. I've never cared to seek out others with it before now. So it's been great to get to know the few of you that I have. I'm really enjoying this site and all of you. My husband is still trying to get used to the idea that I'm coming here so much. I think he's finally getting used to it now though. Time will tell.

More people need to write something about themselves. Your blog can be changed whenever you like. It is very simple to do.

So nice to read about others and who they are behind their username.

Cause i'm too weird in the head, and i'd probably get drunk and share opinions that would piss off a ton of you guys. While i'm generally a very nice person, I do have some pretty unpopular opinions beneath the crust.

Drunk + posting + me = bad.

Hmmmm. I think we've seen a little bit beneath the crust already.

I could put a place on my blog for "SeanDavis' Crusted Opinions"? Then you could fire away, maybe we'd surprise you by our acceptance. I could always delete the whole thing if I thought you were too crusty for me ----since it'd be MY blog. I think those midnight thoughts, alcohol induced can be good stuff. A group of us use to get together and brain storm for the next big idea. We called all those pitchers thinking juice. The motto was, "strengthening our minds while weakening our livers." It worked pretty well at the time! Funny.

Well, many of my opinions are VERY far from considered politically correct. I'm not hateful, but I openly state things others already think but don't want the repurcushions for saying them. Those who truely know me in real life or long term friends from the net love me cause they know i'm a good person, but the internet is hard to get that across. We are representations of digital pixels on a screen, not people. So perspective as to what we are is heavily subjected upon the prejudices that others have towards us. I mean I personally don't care what others think of me, but I have other forums where i'm my "real 100% self". I come here to "be nice" and share information. You guys don't need some of my opinions or experiences spilled out into a blog, even if it is the individual seeking out my blog. I wouldn't do that to Jeanne and Bill. Kind of follows that philosophy of "theres a time and place for everything". While my opinions are experience and logic based, they would generally be very unpopular here considering what I have seen so far in the general communication between others. And that's fine. A supplement blog would be fine, but not just a general BS blog, cause i'd forget to censor myself some night when i'm totally faced and don't want that to happen.

I guess a good way to describe it would be if I was a sports commentator for say a large public channel and I saw something take place and was DYING to share my opinion, like if i was with friends in a pub. But I know if I open my yapper and spill out what I want to say, it would result in VERY BAD THINGS. So I dont

I completely understand your disinterest in not wanting one SeanDavis. The little bit that you have posted on the forum when you have been drinking is a good indication of what to expect and how often or so I think. I personally wouldnt visit your site so it doesnt bother me one way or the other, but I want you to know that I can perfectly understand why!

As long as you guys know ahead (discussing posting on the regular forums) that if I ever go off the deep end and say some whacked things, i'm a kind hearted person but occasionally "the dark side" escapes from it's cage, and not to take my words to heart.

Sean, I completely get you not wanting to. Just thought I'd ask b/c I thought you'd have one by now. I see your reasonings as very respectful to us as a whole, so thanks for your straight forwardness. Can't get better than honesty.

Karen, Thanks. The way I included photos was that I posted them to my FTP server and then copy/paste the URL into the edit window. After you sign into your blog section, go to Admin, then Categories, or click New Post. From New Post, you can click one of the chain link looking icons at the top of that window and copy any URL into to your edit window. Since you most likely do't have an FTP site, I've noticed a lot of people on here use photobucket.com. I've never used that but it sounds like you upload a photo to that web site and you then take that URL (the full address in the http window) and copy into your edit window. Hope this helps! I know "Amy" uses photobucket, you might want to ask her if you have any questions about it. You basically just have to click on everything and see what stuff does. Good luck!
