since coming home from the hospital I can't sleep and when I do sleep I don't want to wake up. I am exhausted ALL the time and I am peeing ALL the time (no Im not preggo I have had to normal periods since then).

I have come home from the hospital on pulmozyme, nexium, symbicort. I also was given loratabs and phinergan for my g-tube.

I do not know WHY I am not sleeping or sleeping so much. I am so scared its diabetes...

thoughts?

(The put me on ambien 2 nights ago and its still not really working)

It sounds like it could be diabetes to me, too. I'd go in and get your blood sugar checked. At least you would no longer have to wonder if that is what it is.

If it is diabetes, I am sure there are a lot of people, including myself, who are more than willing to help you deal with it. Personally, it is not that big of a deal in my life. I was really worried when I first got it, especially because I hate needles. But surprisingly, they don't hurt.

Try not to worry about it until you have it checked out. It could just be a urinary tract infection or something. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Don't rely to much on my facts because this is simply from my experience, but for me, for what ever reason coming out of the hospital is exhausting. On one hand I feel like superman because I've attacked the bad bacteria and my stats are up, but on the other hand being forced to lay around that much and have so many antibiotics coarse through me... it makes me even more tired. Plus, you have to keep in mind we never are allowed to get a full nights sleep, there's always someone coming in at odd hours to change IV's etc, so to be able to finally sleep all the way through the night, my body kind of shuts off for the first week or so and I have to retrain my body how to sleep correctly.

Also as for the peeing a lot... When ever I am on IV meds I pee about twice as much as normal... There are a LOT of fluids your body is trying to deal with. How long have you been out of the hospital?
