Something new in the mix

I thought i'd give an update on how things are going overhere.
I'll give a new update about Marie too, in 'her' thread.

I have been very tired the past week and my sinusinfection didn't seem to clear while on Cipro (as well as mono i think that is still acting up). My mom had an appointment with our gp so i went along to let her listen to my chest. As it had been rattling the past few days.
The gp listened and now the infection has travelled down to my chest, i have bronchitis. Something new to add to the list hehe. And it's completely new to me, as far as i know i never had it. Something 'normal' that 'normal' people get too hehe.
My fev1 is down a bit but it has been for the last 2 weeks and a bit and hasn't gone down more, so that's good. It's still within limits some parts of the day but other times it's below. I have been feeling short of breath with some sort of pressure on my chest and have been coughing with some mucous.

So i called my tx clinic this morning.

I already have a course of Cipro, last pill to take on sundaynight. But the culture we did 2 weeks ago showed that one strain of psuedo is now resistent again to it (the other is still intermediate as was the first one a few months back). I have Cipro now for a week more. To see if maybe it will do something for the second strain.
With that they upped the prednisolon from 5 to 25 mg a day cause my doctor thinks it might be viral too. I don't have a fever (though you can never really count on the with me cause i never had one prior to tx either), and my cough is a bit productive (not that much but it looks like it is getting a bit more.

I have to see how it will be this weekend. When it gets worse i have to call the attending at my tx hospital. When it stays the same i have to call my tx doc on monday to tell him and then i have to come in for iv's. As then it is most likely the pseudo acting up and they will give me a course of iv abx.

Ofcourse when everything goes according to plan (don't want to jinx it now as with me it never really goes according to plan) then the pred will do it's job and i will feel better after the weekend.
