Source CF Bubblegum Chewables Back Ordered

Just got an email from CF Care Forward that the Bubble Gum Source CF Vitamins are backordered. My first thought was to switch him to Vitamax Chewables; however, I did a comparison and he'd only get 400 IU of Vitamin D per tablets vs. the 1000 he currently gets. He takes two chewables twice a day.

Since we have enough to get us thru February, I'm thinking we'll wait it out and if need be switch to the soft gels.

But they're freeeee thru the creon cf forward program. Will just wait til available or get the soft gels. I was just so stunned in the discrepancies in the amounts of some of the vitamins levels. D is a biggy.

Ask your CF team about supplementing with over the counter vitamin D if you need to. My son HATES the taste of the soft gels (even though they swallow them). He takes bubblegum cf source vit's too plus a vit d pill twice a day after blood work showed he was still low. One tip----compare prices of paying for over the counter regular vitamins vs getting them through a prescription. Over the counter was around $10/bottle and through our pharmacist was a generic $3/bottle! YAY!
