Parents of Cf kids should look into setting up a Special Needs Trust. I was asking my dad's financial advisor about this and he said that it was a very safe way to put money aside for your child's health care needs in the future. Just thought I'd pass it on.Debbie22 yr old w/ CF

my mom did that - opened a savings account and regularly put money in it since i'm about 11 years old. in case i need lung transplant [because insurance wouldn't cover it 100%] or in any other case. just to have money on the side and not start to pile on loans frsntically if something happens.thank good there never was any need to dig into that money, which is awesome. my parents are in their fifties now, they're not getting any younger or healthier themselves and they might need that emergency money as well.
