I was talking with a local mom about her child starting school and it came up in the conversation that both are children are in speech therapy. She wondered if it was a cf thing as she has an older child w/out cf.
She seems to think her child has speech delays due to spending the first few years in the hospital, a couple sinus surgeries and pretty much being sheltered at home for the past 5 years. So that he didn't get an opportunity to interact with others in terms of language development
DS has issues pronouncing a few different sounds, but he's gotten lots of socialization for the past 7 years in a daycare/school environment.
I tend to lean toward there not being a correlation...
