I moved the topic into the adults section about 5 minutes ago. Don't worry LilStrawberyShortness you weren't seeing things. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Cute strawberry, but to the origional poster, why is this person loosing insurance through the military dad? Is dad retiring, or getting out or just taking them off insurance coverage-depending on that answer I may have some suggestions for you (I am active duty military)? Aside from that some places you can look the medicaid program for that state. You can do a search by typing medicaid, or medicaid and hawaii into a search engine. Every state does have it's own medicaid program, although sometimes tough to find. If you come to a dead end there, try to locate a CF physician/clinic/hospital and ask their insurance person what kind of "disability" coverage is avilable in Hawaii. Is this person able to work? If not, SSI should be a consideration, or if they have worked in the past it might be worth it to apply for SSDI. I know it doesn't help right now, but in the long run-after you have been on SSDI for 24 months you qualify for medicare at a premium of abot $70 a month.

If you search in those places and still come up empty handed, please post again and I will try to do some research for you.
