St. Louis Childrens

We are moving to St. Louis, and I was wondering about the clinic at Children's there. Is it accredited? Can anyone recommend a doctor? I am nervous about the move, and having to start with a new CF center.

Thanks,

check out this link with a list of accredited care centers in MO:

I lived in St. Louis from 8th - 12th grades. I loved it! What a great area to grow up in. I saw Dr. Pamela Schuler at Barnes Jewish Hospital. She is likely still practicing but is not listed on this list because only the program chairperson's are listed. Enjoy St. Lewie!

Amy,
I am from St. Louis and we see Dr. Tom Ferkol. We love him and our CF clinic! He is very proactive in the health of our children, and he is agressive in treatments. I truly cannot say enough nice things about him. My daughters have been under his care since he came to St. Louis Childrens about 5-6 years ago. I have also met Dr. Pam Schuler, and was very impressed with her. If I remember correctly she is very versed on things such as Cepacia. My children do not have Cepacia, but my nephew does. He, too, sees Dr. Ferkol. And it is an accredited CF center. Please let me know if I can help with anything else. I actually live west of St. Louis in Wentzvile, about 45 min. drive to St. Louis Childrens.

my Mom told me the other day that when we told Dr. Schuler that I was moving away (for college) she cried. She is a sweet lady. I wouldn't say she was agressive with my care. Let me be in charge which I liked. She let me sub exercise for pt - not sure if that was the best decision but remember she was working with a 14 - 19 year old (not easy years) By the way, I didn't have cepacia and I didn't realize this was her specialty - scary.
