Hi. My clinic said you can't steam or boil the nebulizer tubing because pseudomonas can grow there.

So, how do you sterilize it?

Thank you!!

We don't. If it gets condensation in there, I run the compressor without the neb on it until it dries out. I try to replace the tubing regularly (once every 2 weeks or so)

clinic told us it doesnt need to be replaced, just to keeep the the compressor running like Heather said, so it removes any condensation.

Each neb cup we get comes with a set of tubing and it's recommended to periodically replace it; given how many neb cups we have we always have some on hand. We replace it every few months as well as after Emily's been sick.

We also run the compressor with the neb cup removed if we notice condensation.

Edan ...

Throw it away, Replace, Never try and clean
the Tubing, you can Never get all the water out
and can't not get enough liquid in it to make sure it
is clean. So just Throw them away.

Hi All, just wanted to clarify. If the tubing is dry after running the compressor., how is it likely that bugs/bacteria will grow. When i say dry, i mean dry. I have never noticed any form of moisture build up in the tubing. Just curious, i mean if it realy does need replacing i would do it, no hesitation.
At the moment it just seems as good as new and its about 1 month old.

Hmmmmmmmm confusing, esp when the clinic docs tell you its safe for min 6months so as long as you run the compressor to remove condensation.
