Stomach aches

Lately I have been getting bad stomach aches after I eat. But its not all the time, usually after lunch, once in a while after dinner, but not after breakfast. At first I thought that it was what I was eating that was the problem. But I kept a little journal of what I was eating and when I got the stomach ache but I don't see a pattern. Sometimes even a piece of fruit will do it! I upped my enzymes and that seems to help a little, but not all the time. I don't usually feel like I have to go #2 afte eating. Could it be irritable bowl? I've never really had problems with digestion.

Do you take prevacid or nexium? With all the stress you have been dealing with it could just be nerves especially if you kept a log and there is no real pattern. Change in meds?

Nexium and other Acid Reflux medications help to cut down on the acids in your body, thus helping your enzymes to work better.
I was having a similar problem and they put me on an offbrand of Nexium, it helped my tummy a bit but I had never had acid reflux before, and once I started taking the medication for it I started getting it... weird huh?

Anyway I stopped taking the Nexium, and I started being a lot more careful with my enzymes, taking them in the middle of meals instead of after meals, and taking more enzymes with more fatty foods. Also drinking lots and lots of water helped a ton.
How many enzymes do you take with your meals, just out of curiousity?

If you think it is gallbladder, even if they tell you that it is not your gallbladder DONT listen. I had every test under sun done and they told me it is NOT your gallbladder but I read and read and I could tell it had to be that and I also did liek you did and see if there was a pattern to what I was eating causing it long story short it happened more when I ate fattening foods but it also happened if I ate fruit veggies or pretty much anything hard on stomach which is not 'typical' for gallbladder as it is more associated with fatty foods protein.

Anyway I let it get bad enough I went to ER one night and refused to leave until they removed my gallbladder (which worked) I told doc that majority of CF gallbladder go bad and since he hadnt figured anythign else out it was a risk I was willing to take (yeah, not the nicest patient )and sure enough it was full of stones they coulndt see and inflammed--problem solved!
