I am trying to see if there are any support groups in my area to help me through this difficult time. I can't seem to find one but I don't know if I am looking in the right spots. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

The social worker at my son's CF clinic said support groups for CF (at least in our area) have not really worked because nobody with CF or their primary caretakers really wanted to be in a room full of CF patients/caretakers....avoiding germs, you know. But the local chapter of the CF Foundation is pretty strong. You might try contacting them. CFF.org is their website. another thing you could consider if the support you're looking for is more emotional than medical is pastoral counseling via a local church...they can have pretty helpful perspectives on life's troubles and are available whether or not your personal beliefs coincide with those of the church or not.

best of luck.
