Hello. My little one has been trucking right along but we went in for a weight check yesterday and she lost 8 oz in 3 weeks! <br><br>This has never happened, not even when she had c-diff for 6 weeks and was pooping 6-10x/day! <br><br>I don't think it is her enzyme dose as she is eating less and we have increased her Zenpep? She has not been sick (knock on wood) and seems well overall.<br><br>Her appetite has decreased significantly but she does eat, although i suspect not nearly the calories she needs. but to lose that much weight in such a short period of time?<br><br>so, just wondering has anyone noticed a decrease in appetite or weight loss in their young cf kiddos following receipt of the synagis vaccination?<br><br>

DS didn't have any issues with the synagis vaccine. When his eating did decrease it was either due to constipation, ear infection or teething...

Both of my kids took Synagis shots for three winters. They did not have any side effects that we were aware of.
Sharon, mom of Sophia, 10 and Jack, 8 both with CF, Grant, 2 and Paige, 1 both without CF

Synagis shots are to help prevent RSV -- respiratory synctial (sp) virus. Shot is given once a month during cold and flu season the first year of life to preemies, babies wcf and other health issues. Sometimes it's given during the second year as well. Shots are very spendy, but so are the costs should one get RSV
