Tested Today

My 3 month old was tested today for CF. I think my husband is in denial, but I work in a hospital and all the doctors, nurses, and myself, think she has it. She has 4 or 5 symptoms of this, and I always had a feeling while I was pregnant that something was going to be wrong with her. We are supposed to be finding out the results in hopefully an hour or less.

Denial is understandable -- especially if there isn't a family history. Hopefully you'll get some answers soon. I'm assuming by testing you mean sweat test. If for some reason the results come back as normal or insufficient sample, I would urge you to request more extensive genetic testing. There are several people on this site, my son included that had normal results. His was a normal 32.

I always had a feeling while I was pregnant that something was going to be wrong with her. </end quote></div>

I know that feeling. I caught a parasite (toxoplasmosis) found in raw meat while pregnant, and was soo stressed that my dd would get it from me. I was put on antibiotics, had ultrasounds every 2 weeks etc. Finally she did not get it but 2 months later I found she had CF! What twist of fate...

It's weird... I had that feeling too, my whole pregnancy- and wasn't just because my pregnancy was horrible... I had a feeling from the moment I found out. I genuinely hope you get some answers as to what is going on with your daughter.
