Thank God for cancer!

Ok, not that I'd want Brian to have cancer again, and when he did it was the most horrible time of my life, but it helped us today. His name came up as possibly being eligible for deployment to Iraq but because of the cancer he's not eligible!!! I know its totally selfish, and I support our troops over there and want them to come home, but I also want my husband to stay here! I'm so relieved and happy I could cry.

Not everyone supports the war. I support the troops, but I don't support anyone I care about going over there. I don't think ANYONE should be over there. But this isn't meant to be a war debate. For once, Jessi, yay for cancer. Hah.

You probably thought those words would ever cross your mind, let alone say them. Glad he doesnt have to go to Iraq. I know that is a relief for you both.

I'm with Emily, I support the troops (my brother-in-law's younger brother is doing his SECOND tour in Iraq!), but I don't support the war. I support War against Terrorism, but not against Iraq.
And, since Emily is also right about this not being a war debate...yay for Cancer (and I might add CF, too!)

Amy, come on. Not everyone IN the military supports the supposed purpose of us being over there. I joined AFTER the war started, a lot for the wrong reasons, but at the time, I belived in the cause. I NO longer do and quietly refuse to deploy for that reason. I think we were lied to, I think we were tricked and I think we need to ALL get out of there.

I too have lost friends over there, ones that I know personally that I can count on one hand. But when I hear people say things that Jessi said here, I understand.

Glad to hear Jessi. When are you coming to the base? Come visit some day for lunch!!
