I am a long distance grandma hope to move closer to them this year as they have no family support close. Aspen has CDF in his bowels if any one knows about this. (They) say it is quite common in CF babies. Hopefully they can get rid of it by medication if not another procedure will be done. Poor little guy. He has been in the hospital 5 days maybe leave on Monday or Tuesday.
Thanks again for all the support it makes it easier for me. My mother passed away in August after a year of many hospital visits, she did not get to see her great grandson.

Love,

Margo,
I've been reading your messages and although I can't answer your question, I wanted to say how much I respect you for getting involved in your grandson's care. It is so important to the family if ALL the family members are knowlegable about cf and play and active role in caregiving or supporting the caregivers.

I wish my mom would come on this site, she could use the connections-but she's still afraid of the internet. Although she tries to be supportive, she still says things like "why does the cf foundation need to raise all that money- what are they going to do with it all?. That absolutely floored me!

Aspen is a lucky little kid!

Jane:

Thanks so much for your encouragement. You do not know how much it means to me. I am sure you are a wonderful mother and my heart goes out to you as you have 2 children with cf. How old are they? Praying for you and your family for good health and good doctors.

Margo,
I am sorry about your mother. Your grandson is lucky to have such a caring grandma! When a loved one is sick it impacts the whole family. If there is anything we can help you with just let us know.
