[h=5]We got our monthly cf nutrition letter today from our clinic. I normally just throw them away since they never apply to nick since hes on a low pro diet (he has pku along with the cystic fibrosis). In this one "The hefty sandwich" caught my eye and is doable with a couple substitutions to make it low pro... my question is has anyone ever tried it? it sounds kinda weird...here's the recipe
1 tablespoon mayonnaise (60 calories)
1 tablespoon butter (100 calories)
1 tablespoon olive or canola oil (120 calories)
2 tablespoons peanut butter (200 calories) ~~~ we would use biscoff spread instead
2 slices of cheese (160 calories) ~~~~ we would use a low pro cheese
bologna, roast beef and salami is high calorie ~~~~ we wouldnt use meat
we have been looking for higher calorie options to put some weight on nick (hes 7)[/h]
