The little brother

Josh and Jesse are four years apart, both have CF and are BEST friends (so much so that it may be unhealthy socially). Recently Josh has been the focus of most of our attention (eagle scout, college, scholarships, prom) and he has gotten more independent finally.

Poor Jesse has been really mopey and lost without Josh around. We've tried to engage him in activities and with friends, but he just waits for Josh to be free. Josh has always been the "leader" so Jesse has learned to follow.

Does anyone have any good ideas?

WHat a double edge sword!

Its great that they are so close yet its showing a negative impact also

Wish I had some answers except maybe to have Josh actually do the talking to his brother. Maybe Jess will see the light more or be more receptive to the reality if Josh sits down with him!

Good Luck & Happy Easter!

Maybe you could try to get him involved in something he and Josh didn't do as a team, something new. It would be his own thing and give him his own identity. Sounds like it would be hard to convince him, but worth a try. All the best to you...
