The Mauli Ola Foundation, a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization will be offering a free surf lesson by professional Surfers for anyone with Cystic Fibrosis in the Spring and Summer of 2009. Exercising in the high saline content of the ocean air and water have had beneficial results for improved lung function for people with CF. We will be starting in June on the West Coast, then in Aug and Sept we will be travelling along the coast from Corpus Christi to New York. If anyone is interested in participating please email me at jdunlop@mauliola.org or see our website www.mauliola.org . We have held one Surf Day for Children's Hospital Los Angeles and two days for Children's Hospital Orange County, all of them were a great success. We will also be holding one at Haleiwa Beach, Oahu HI on Dec 7th 2008. Everyone is welcome to these Surf Days. *NOTE A signed consent and release must be signed by a Physician before attendance. Thank you, James Dunlop, Executive Director of the Mauli Ola Foundation

How cool! If Avery was big enough we would be there!! I wonder if salt water pools are just as good as the ocean for CFers? Almost every pool we have been to lately is saltwater.

Interesting, I'm not sure about the saline content in the salt water pools.

The youngest student we've had was 7 y/o, so in a few years Avery and Rhett will have to give it a shot. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> James
