Here's a cute story...
Yesterday we brought Andrew to UNC for his bronchoscopy. When we were called back to be prepped, Andrew refused to take his shoes off...completely went spazo over taking his shoe off. After much coaxing, I knelt down next to him and had a littel heart to heart.
Last week we had been at the grocery store and Andrew found a penny on the ground. I told him to put it in his shoe for good luck. Well, he had put that penny in his shoe alright. And yesterday morning, he decided to wear that lucky penny in his shoe for good luck at the hospital.
Well, needless to say Andrew undressed and went into his bronchoscopy/picc placement with one shoe on, and one shoe off. In fact, he wore that shoe all day and would not let me take it off until it was time to put his pjs on. The penny is currently sitting on table next to his hospital bed. I think we will have that penny forever!
