The Vest

Just wondering how old they start you on the vest? My niece is 15 months and about 23lbs...does it go by the weight or age?
I also found this site figured I would share it with everyone.

It's called the electric percussor it looks pretty cool I know it says it can be changed to different speeds for children. Does anybody have one of these? Do you prefer it over the vest? Was it covered by your insurance? Sorry so many questions. check it out let me know what you think.

Don't know if you posted this question in the family section, but you might get some more responses there as many are parents of younger children.

I do recall parents talking about the measurement of the child's chest size. I'm not sure what factors they consider besides that though. Best of luck with her getting the vest, it is such a great item!!

I started on the vest when it first came out I was about 10 I think, so I don't know the age question.

I have used other 'percussers' before the vest and I prefer the vest by far!!!! I even use to cup my hands and then I got one kind of like the one on the website there draping over the recliner and changing positions, the vest is the best<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I actually just got my vest last year! All my life my parents did chest PT and when I was old enough I did it on myself. Then I used the flutter when I got out of college, which I love. Now I use the flutter and the Vest and I like the Vest alot.

Hi! My dds were around 22-23 lbs but they measured them around their chest. They said they had to be 18 inches around, so both of them got one because they were 18 inches around. I think they were about 16-17 months, somewhere around there!!!

Hello. I do have a hand held percussor/vibrator. I've had it probably close to 20 years now. I went to the link you had listed. I've never seen one that looked like that. Mine is black, quite a bit smaller, and it doesn't have the long handle on it. To be honest, I don't really remember how it was paid for. I may have even still been on my mom's insurance at that time. It does have different settings on it; however, I don't know if it is for use on children or not. You probably could. I seem to like it better than anything else I've tried. I have the vest, but I don't care for it. I've also tried the flutter and the acapella. I still prefer my percussor. Hope that helps you.

My granddaughter is 3yrs and just got the vest. She loves it--sings and makes everyone laugh while she's on it. Title 19 paid for it as my daughter is single, with no insurance.
