I know I should walk away from this, but I'm just so angry! I have a first cousin who obviously has mental problems. She is all over the internet claiming to have CF, and I know she does not. She finds sympathy from pepole saying she is end-stge, then goes out drinking and smoking afterward. I am so upset about the false stories she is telling people...people who may be relying on her as a valuable source of information.
I do not talk to this cousin. We are nothing alike. I have not said anything to her because she has kept all of this fake pity story on her fb page. However, yesterday I saw her on a CF site talking about her struggle to obtain a diagnosis after three high sweat tests, and that she had an aunt die from cf, then that aunt's grandson was diagnosed after her death. Well, that aunt and grandson were MY mom and my son Andrew. My mother married into her family..has no blood relation to this girl at all. Now that she is taking this story public into the CF community, and including MY family in her plea for believers, I am taking this very personally and getting very offended.
I know I should walk away from this, but I just can't stop steaming over it. What is the best thing to do? Call her out or let her go?
