Throat problem

I've just finished two weeks of IV's for my chest and my lungs feel very clear, can't bring anything up at all and haven't for at least a week. But, my throat feels weird. It's not sore at all, but I feel like there is phlegm in there and I have to clear it or cough often, but it's definitely not my lungs that are congested. Weird, anyone ever had this before? When my lungs were congested, my doc also had a look at my throat and said one of my tonsils was inflamed and red......could this possibly be my tonsils playing up? I'm just concerned that if my tonsils or throat is infected then a) you'd think two weeks of IV antibiotics would have cleared it up an b) if my throat/tonsil is still infected it's bound to go back into my lungs?????
Any help would be appreciated as I sort of want to go back to my doctor but don't want to if it's not necessary.

I've just gone to the chemist for an anti-thrush mouth/throat rinse as have decided thrush might be what it is. It came on about 10 days into my IV AB's so would make sense, plus i have a bit of a white film and a couple of small bumpy things on the back of my tongue. So will try this anti-fungal mouthrinse stuff and see if that fixes me up.

I second that...mine has been really bad lately too. I have the same symptoms you are describing, but no infection.

Hmmm interesting, the thing is I'm in New Zealand and it is Autumn over here and not really our allergy season - altough I think i do get mild hayfever, but not normally at this time of year.
However the post nasal drip concept intrigues me as my throat is at it's worst first thing in the morning and gets better as the day goes on.........
