Hi, I'm having trouble logging in but this is Liza. I have heard of thyme being good. In fact while we were stationed in Germany one of my oldest daughters teachers mentioned using Thyme Stroop (syrup). We tried it out and after getting past the nasty taste she thought it helped. And voluntarily took it. Unfortunantly it's not available here. She has also used peppermint oil to open up her airways. That too is not available here in the states. We have tried the kind by Burt's Bees but it's no where near the strength that German or Dutch peppermint oil is. We are still looking. So far we can only find the kind that is not to be used internally, you need the real stuff that can be ingested, although only a tiny drop is needed. It is used as an alternative to medication and one of the few things that they could give the pilots to relieve congestion and them still be able to fly. Thyme would most likely be under herbal medicine. She didn't take it regularly just occassionally, and it did not work as a cough suppressant.
