Hello everyone

I lurk almost daily but usually am not able to type anything so I'm around but silent

It has been almost 8 months since I had my home water birth with Scarlett and I can't believe how fast time has gone. She's growing up so fast! She is sitting up, crawling, pulling up, babbling and so much more. She still nurses a lot but hasn't met a food she didn't like. She doesn't actually "eat" much (as in swallow) but loves to gum and play with food. In the last 2 days she got her first 2 teeth. She's been getting around since she was 5 months old (army crawl) but only figured out traditional crawling within the past few days. She's fast!

One new thing I'm doing with her that I didn't do with Logan is Elimination Communication (EC). Basically I give her a cue and she potties for me. We don't use diapers in the house anymore (only at night or out and about). Not changing diapers is a HUGE plus She has 2 little potties but we don't use them anymore. We just take her to the toilet. It has worked out great for us. If anyone wants more info just PM me.

Logan is growing bigger and taller. He LOVES school and his friends. He had a spider man and batman 4th birthday party complete with a clown. He had a great time. He also loves his little sister although she has a tendency to get into his stuff Oh and he is finally (!!) out of diapers. It was a long road but we got there. (he was attached to pooping in diapers, otherwise he has been potty trained since he was almost 3)

As for my health, well we'll find out my numbers next week but I feel good. No problems to report.

Here are a few pictures from the past few months:

Hi Caroline! Time flies, they are so big! I did elimination communication a little bit with Amelia. I started putting her on the potty at 6 months. We did just once a day, first thing in the morning. It's a good thing we did that because at 15 months she decided she didn't want to wear disposable diapers anymore (even the pull up kind). She's 18 months now and sometimes pees in the potty but mostly I wash a lot of Imse Vimse trainers. Wish I'd put more effort into EC sooner-we'd be almost done by now!

I need to get some trainers! Just haven't done it yet. Glad to hear you did ec too somewhat. I wish I had heard about it when Logan was a baby. We started when Scarlett was 3 months old - she had a HORRIBLE yeast diaper rash that I couldn't get rid of. So one day I took off her diaper and within 2 days her skin was like new and no medication needed. It was our miracle cure (I had been fighting that rash for at least a month). I can't believe Amelia is 18 months already! Wow!
