Time frame for fecal fat test results?

Hi there,

My daughter just completed the fecal fat test to check for pancreatic insufficiency and I'm wondering how long it typically takes to get the results? We live in Omaha and had to have them flown to Mayo in Rochester, MN. We had her on the high-fat diet and she gave us several "good" samples. She has very foul smelling, soft stools, which are always pale in color, which is why they're checking for PI. Her sweat test came back negative, which I've been told is a good sign, although not necessarily accurate 100% of the time. Hoping the fecal fat test will give us more information.
