Hey guys, have any of you heard of tingling in the hands and arms, decreased in appetite and nausea, in a CFer, ( 5yrs old) as being some kind of diabetes? Or any other ideas as to what it could be? thanks

There is CF related diabetes (CFRD). But it usually develops later in life, however it's entirely possible for a 5 yr old to have it. What meds is your little one on? That is usually the cause of nausea. Decreased appetite can be a number of things (he/ she will go through phases of this, so don't worry too much).
When I am on IV Tobramyecine (sp?), I sometimes get tingling in my fingers.

Hey thanks Debbie, my 5yr old is on little meds, ventillin puffers and flovent puffers both occasionally. She takes creon 10's and vitamins. SHe is so healthy that this is scaring me, we have seen the doc last Thursday, but this is when the tingling in the arms and hands with the feeling of vomiting had started and we haven't seen him since. At that time, he said it was just a virus, you know general low grade fever and such, however, he doesnl't know about the tingling yet. I have done a urine sample this morning, and it takes 48 hrs as you know, so I'm thinking after that I'll take her back in. I'm just a little upset cause she has never even had the flu, she"s vomited only twice in her life, and one of those was right after polyp surgery ( which is understandible). Any way, any more ideas would be appreciated. thanks

I would definately take her into the doctor. If she hasn't started any of these meds as "new" things added to her regime, I would say don't focus too much on that being the cause-althoug it is possible. It also could be a combination of a few things but I would really take this one to the doctors, trust your gut.
